Carey and son Joey Construction on La Buena Vista Hotel began in 1984 and is an ongoing project. It was built by the owners Checo and Carey and is family-run. Checo Diaz was raised in Puerto Angel, and his wife Carey is from Mill Valley, California. Checo’s sister Lourdes, her husband Miguel and their children help manage the hotel. La Buena Vista has a personal family-style atmosphere, where you feel very relaxed and cared for. Our guests come from all parts of the world: from Mexico to Canada to France, from Iceland to Zimbabwe. They come from many countries and many walks of life. Interesting conversations over coffee or cold beer are always enjoyed. Children of all ages are always very welcome. We look forward to your visit and adding your name in our guest book!
